21 Savage Bio

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 21 Savage on February 3, 2019. Officials disclosed that Savage was a British citizen who was deported in the U.S. July 2005 and then illegally overstayed his visa a year later. On February 12th, he was formally released on bond and was released on the same day, subject to the outcome of an expedited hearing. The hearing was initially set for the 9th of April, but it was postponed until April 9. 21 Savage won the Best Rap Song award at the 2020 Grammy Awards for "A Lot". It was J. Cole and his first Grammy wins. His long-awaited sequel collaboration with Metro Boomin, Savage Mode II was released in October of 2020 to widespread acclaim and it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It spawned the top 10 hits "Runnin", and "Mr. Right Now.21 Savage was born Sheyaa bin Abraham-Joseph in Newham Hospital, in the Plaistow region of London, on October 22 the 22nd of October, 1992. He is the son of Heather Carmillia Joseph Emmons and Kevin Cornelius Emmons. His parents are both of Caribbean origin; his mother's family is from Dominica and his father is from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. His twin sisters and father choreographers of dance, Kyra and Jayda Davis, continue to live in London and his father is employed by Westminster City Council, while his paternal grandfather was Haitian. His cousin, Young Nudy, is also a rapper. His grandmother lives in Brixton. [citation needed] 21 Savage was seven when his parents separated. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother when he was 7. At the age of 12, he traveled to the United Kingdom to attend his uncle's funeral. 30 years later, he remained in London for a month returned to Atlanta with an H-4 visa. The visa was revoked a year later. 21 Savage's mother started relationships with Dr. Amsu, an Endocrinologist and British expatriate. They had many more children together. His brother Quantivayus ("Tay Man") was killed in a shooting after an attempted drug transaction.
