Danielle is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica, California, to
singers Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough who are the granddaughter of the
actress Priscilla Presley and the singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by
her father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally spent time residing with
her mother in California and Tennessee. She began modeling at the age of 15.
Her appearances at Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows and Christian Dior's
cover-shoots were one of her many highlights. Keough made her debut in feature
films at age 20, appearing in a supporting part in the musical biopic The
Runaways (2010), as Marie Currie. After The Good Doctor (2011) Keough was a
part of Jack & Diane (2012). She was later cast in a minor role in
Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). In 2012, Keough appeared in
Yellow and Kiss of the Damned. Then, she appeared in the action movie Mad Max:
Fury Road (2015). This was the fourth film of the Mad Max series. In 2016,
Keough had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first
season of the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by
Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her performance
received high praise and received nominations for the Golden Globe Award for
Best Performance of an Actress in a TV limited Series or Motion Picture.
Keough's subsequent performance as an attractive, young, straight-laced woman
in American Honey (2017) won an even greater amount of acclaim. Keough was also
nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Keough was also featured
in the 2017 apocalyptic horror movie It Comes at Night. Keough was also seen
with Soderbergh in Logan Lucky, his heist film. In 2018, she was a star in
several horror and thriller films, including Lars von Trier’s The House That
Jack Built as well as the Neo-Noir Under the Silver Lake and Hold the Dark. In
2019, Keough starred as the lead in the psychological horror film The Lodge,
followed by another leading role in the comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough
portrays Sandy Harrison in Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
