Ayelet Zuer is an Israeli actress who
has received praise for her performance. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv, and
first was noticed by Hollywood when she was chosen by Steven Spielberg in her
first English-speaking part, playing Eric Bana's character's wife in the
Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). Since moving to the United States, Zurer
has been in Studio films like Sony Pictures' Vantage Point featuring Dennis
Quaid and William Hurt and Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Pieces with Stephen
Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected opposite Jeff Goldblum and Willem
Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling Companion is
an ensemble movie by Lawrence Kasdan which includes Diane Keaton and Kevin
Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel along with Russell Crow. She was a part of
Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert opposite Ewan McGregor while waiting
for the release of the film The Last Knights by the Japanese director Kazuaki
Kiriya, who is also starring Clive Owen. She recently received the Gold Nymph
Award for Outstanding actor in the Drama Series at the 54th Festival of
Television in Monte-Carlo in recognition of her role in the show
"Hostages". Ayelet was nominated for the Israeli Film and Television
Academy Award for her work in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also won nominations for
her performance in the films Only Dogs Run Free, The Dybbuk from the Holy Apple
Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. She was also honored with the Haifa
International Film Festival critic's award and was a guest in Haifa's
"film Boulevard" for her achievements in regional and international
film. Zurer was also awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her
performance as the lead in "In Treatment," a highly acclaimed
television show that was made into a series by HBO to be adapted for American
television. She was also nominated in the category of an apt performance in
2014's most popular drama "Shtisel", and she was named the most
outstanding actress for drama for her portrayal as a brilliant surgeon facing a
life-and-death dilemma in Hostages. The series was licensed to BBC4 &
Canal Plus and the American ABC. She is the "face " of one of
Israel's leading women's fashion brands- Golbary. Ayelet is a producer as well
as author, and an illustrator for two adult novels, "Shorts" and the
top-selling "Badolina" written by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is currently
working on a couple of projects in Israel and the USA. She has expressed an her
interest in collaborations with international directors from all over the
world, as she is a believer in joining the ranks of unknown writers/directors.
