Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter who was born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At age one, her family decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. Her birthplace was in West London, attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court and graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School. She began singing at an early age. In 2004, she appeared on the British movie Spivs. She was a contestant on Eurovision: Your Country needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but later removed herself from the contest after a few shows because she wasn't sure she was ready. Ora made her debut music in 2007 when she appeared on the song of Craig David titled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora began to sing in bars throughout London. A few days later, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z, an A&R informed Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z's music video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Ora caught the attention of Jay-Z and he quickly signed her up to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in commercials for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. She started singing in the same place where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub owner , and she began her singing career from the same bar.
